Our Mission

Closing the distance between citizens and justice

JusticeLink Uganda is a digital platform that connects citizens directly to Local Council offices, police services and legal aid — in the language they're most comfortable using.

Why JusticeLink exists

Getting help with a Local Council matter, a police report, or legal aid in Uganda often means knowing exactly which office to visit and being able to get there. JusticeLink puts that access on a phone instead — a citizen can report an issue, get matched with the right service, and follow its progress without a physical trip to start the process.

  • Citizens can report an incident or request, find the nearest Local Council office, police station or legal aid clinic on a map, and track what happens to their case.
  • Lawyers and legal organisations can be matched to citizens who need representation and communicate with them securely inside the platform.
  • Police officers, District Administrators and System Administrators get role-based dashboards for verification, oversight and reporting — these accounts are issued directly by an administrator rather than self-registered.

How it works

Every case moves through the same three stages, whether it starts as an incident report or a request for legal help.

Report

A citizen submits a case — an incident, a request, or a need for legal help — from the citizen dashboard.

Match & assign

The case is matched to the right lawyer, Local Council office or police contact and routed to them for action.

Resolve & track

Updates, secure messages and notifications keep the citizen informed until the case is closed.

Built for how Uganda actually communicates

JusticeLink is available in six languages, so language is never the reason someone can't access help.
